Erasmusbrug
Since its opening in 1996, the Erasmus Bridge has become Rotterdam’s icon. This 800-metre suspension bridge over the New Meuse River (Nieuwe Maas) connects the northern and southern parts of the city. Its elegant shape has earned it the nickname ‘The Swan’.
Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen
An architectural masterpiece and the world’s first depot to provide access to an entire museum collection. There are no exhibitions here, but you can walk around the building among 154,000 works of art. You can also see conservation and restoration work in progress.
Markthal
In the covered Market Hall, you will find dozens of establishments serving the most delicious food. Don’t forget to look up between the stalls. You won’t want to miss the largest work of art in the Netherlands: the Horn of Plenty. The Markthal is a contemporary version of the Sistine Chapel.
