Time: start 3:10 p.m. (first rider)
Stage 3 of the Tour de France Femmes is a 6.3-kilometre individual time trial. Except for a few bridges, the city circuit is as flat as a mirror. The start stage is on the Schiedamsedijk, at the bottom of the Erasmus Bridge.
Hard riders will have their fill during the first 3 kilometres of the time trial, which are almost dead straight. Via the Schiedamsedijk and the Coolsingel, they head for the Hofplein roundabout at top speed. A great location for cycling fans to see the riders at work; be there early because you won’t be the only one here.
After the turning point at Hofplein, it is back to the Erasmus Bridge on the same roads. This forms the starting point of a series of bridges in the last 3 kilometres. Following this, the Spoorweghavenbrug, Binnenhavenbrug, Koninginnebrug and Willemsbrug are also on the programme.
The finish is on the Boompjes (5:50 p.m. last rider).
