With ‘Stage de Femmes’, the hall of Rotterdam Central Station gets extra female power. An only female line-up with changing acts ensures a swinging reception.
Women are still heavily underrepresented in the music world. Less than 13 per cent of singer-songwriters are women and only 2 per cent work as producers. Reason enough to make room for female artists on the stage of ‘Stage de Femmes: Café Dox X North Sea Round Town’, a great collaboration in which programmers from two different organisations join forces to let talented, up-and-coming female musicians and big names play together on a big stage in the hall of Rotterdam Central Station.
