Visit the Kunsthal on Sunday 11 August and join the special Tour de France Femmes edition of KunstHoppen. A guide will take you at a brisk pace past various works of art criss-crossing the Kunsthal. This time, the exhibition Yes to All by Swiss artist Sylvie Fleury takes centre stage.
From fluffy rockets and car wrecks painted with pink nail polish, to life-size make-up boxes and broken Chanel bags: Fleury creates unexpected new stories time and again, always with a heavy dose of humour.
Tickets and prices will follow soon on the Kunsthal website www.kunsthal.nl
Sylvie Fleury: Yes to All
Men are from Mars and women are from Venus: it is one of the clichés Swiss artist Sylvie Fleury (1961) likes to play with. The self-proclaimed punk feminist in disguise playfully challenges our views on gender while exploring the boundaries between contemporary art and consumer society. For her seductive artworks, she draws inspiration from the worlds of fashion and film, pop culture, motor racing, space travel and art history
