August 11

The time trial course is available to everyone on Sunday, August 11, including handbikers, wheelers, tricycles, wheelchairs, rollators, racer runners, etc.
You can choose to start between 11:00 and 14:00 whenever you want, but you can also join the start time of ‘Rotterdam Rolt unlimited’.
They will gather at 11:30 at the Fanzone, here are also wheelchair accessible toilets available.
At 12:00 is the collective start, after that you can take as long as you want.

Facilities
Rotterdam is a city that prioritizes accessibility. Many of the public sidewalks and squares where the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift passes are accessible. You can stand or sit anywhere along the route. Public places are on a first-come, first-served basis. If you want to sit in a particular spot, arrive early. Additionally, the following facilities are set up:

August 12

  • A spot in front of the fences just before the stage, accessible for people with wheelchairs or rollators at the teamspresentation in the Museum Park and a second compartment close to the start.
Visitors coming by wheelchair cabs can be dropped off on Wijtemaweg, near bar/restaurant Westkop, from here you will be escorted to the special compartment.
  • Audio description by a blind interpreter.
This will take place in the cordoned off area for visitors with wheelchairs or walkers.
The blind interpreter will be present from 10:00 am.
After the team presentation, there will be a joint transfer to the starting area.
  • A sensory-friendly area is not available at the start.

August 13

  • There is space in front of the gates at the presentation at the Energieplein in Dordrecht on August 13 that is accessible for people with wheelchairs or walkers.
Would you like to take advantage of that?
Then we ask you to sign up before August 4 at [email protected].
You will then also receive additional information by e-mail about location and access routes.
  • A viewing platform for people with wheelchairs or walkers at Boompjes on August 13. The platform opens at 10:30 AM. Visitors coming by wheelchair taxis can be dropped off at the intersection of Rederijstraat and Terwenakker. This location is only accessible from Blaak > Posthoornstraat.
  • Subtitles on the screens for people with hearing impairments in the finish area at Boompjes and Coolsingel.
  • Due to the layout of the finish area, we do not offer audio description.
The program will be chatted together by speakers which will also allow visually impaired people in the finish area near the Boompjes to follow the finish of stage 2 and the time trial.
  • A sensory-friendly area on Tuesday, August 13, in the De Rotterdam office building, on the seventh floor. The room offers a good view of the course on the Erasmus Bridge. More information can be found at the end of this article.
  • Spaces for wish ambulances along the route. Upon registration, we jointly coordinate the best available spot.

For a spot in front of the fences on Aug. 12, the audio description on Aug. 12, the viewing platform on Aug. 13 and the low-incentive space on Aug. 13, full = full.
We therefore ask that you register by August 4 at [email protected].
You will then also receive additional information about location and access routes by email.
Wish ambulances can register until 5 p.m. on August 11.
See below for more information.

Toilets
Extra toilets will be placed in the Fanzone and in the start and finish areas. Each block will have a wheelchair-accessible toilet. You can also use the HogeNood app for ‘public’ wheelchair-accessible toilets along the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift route. The sensory-friendly area also has a wheelchair-accessible toilet.

Stimulus-free space
In ‘the Rotterdam’, Wilhelminakade 179 in Rotterdam, a (wheelchair accessible) stimulus-free space will be set up on the seventh floor on August 13 during the Time Trial.
The space is a furnished office space overlooking the course on the Erasmus Bridge.
There will be no office staff on August 13 and the space will be low-incentive.
The space opens at 2 p.m. (one hour before the start) and closes at 6 p.m. (after the finish of the last runner).

You can register until August 4 via: [email protected]

The room can accommodate 25 people with cognitive disabilities. You can bring at least one supporter to the sensory-friendly room. Depending on availability, we can determine after August 4 if an additional supporter is possible.

Note: Identification is required to access this building. Unfortunately, it is not possible to access the room without prior registration.
